IT Operations and Support Technician

About the role

The ProdOps Technician provides first-level operational support for IT infrastructure and manufacturing applications within STMicroelectronics. Working as part of the 24 × 7 DTIT ProdOps team, the role is essential to keep manufacturing services available and running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor IT systems and manufacturing applications using Zabbix.
• Provide 24 × 7 first-level support for incidents and user calls.
• Troubleshoot, resolve, or escalate incidents to second-level support.
• Identify recurring issues and report them to ProdOps management and L2 teams.
• Support computer-room vigilance and compliance requirements.
• Deliver first-level support for cyber-security incidents.
• Communicate and escalate major incidents promptly.

Required profile

• Technician or License diploma in systems and information technology.
• 2-5 years of experience in IT operations within a production environment.
• Good understanding of IT infrastructure and incident management.
• Experience with Unix and Windows servers, storage systems, databases, network devices and manufacturing applications.
• Strong communication, escalation and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts (6h-14h / 14h-22h / 22h-06h) on-site.
