Junior Accountant – Real Estate Finance

About the role
Our client, a privately held Canadian company specializing in luxury custom‑built homes, is looking for a hands‑on Junior Accountant to join its finance team in Oakville. Reporting to the Controller, you will support day‑to‑day accounting operations in a fast‑paced real‑estate environment.
Key responsibilities
- Record and manage all daily financial transactions.
- Maintain the general ledger and perform month‑end closing activities.
- Assist with year‑end processes and external audit requirements.
- Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
- Prepare and file mandatory government reports such as HST and payroll remittances.
- Execute various monthly reconciliations.
- Perform other finance‑related duties as assigned.
Required profile
- Minimum three years of general accounting experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Professional, collaborative attitude and ability to thrive in a challenging environment.
- Detail‑oriented and organized with a “roll‑up‑your‑sleeves” mindset.
Required skills
- Proficiency with QuickBooks accounting software.
