About the role
The Legal Counsel (Compliance) will join Save the Children International’s global legal team, providing strategic advice and support to the organization’s 54 country offices and global teams. Working primarily with the Legal Compliance Team, the role focuses on ensuring legal compliance across high‑risk environments and supporting the Head of Legal Compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality legal advice on a diverse range of issues to country offices and global teams.
- Advise senior stakeholders on legal, regulatory and compliance matters.
- Support the Head of Legal Compliance in developing and implementing compliance frameworks.
- Collaborate with operations teams to roll out compliance solutions across the organization.
- Provide updates to the Audit & Risk Committee on legal compliance matters.
- Represent the Legal Team in cross‑functional meetings and committees.
- Respond to humanitarian emergencies or crises with flexible working hours as needed.
Required profile
- Proven experience providing pragmatic, solution‑oriented legal compliance advice.
- Ability to work with senior stakeholders and high‑risk country offices.
- Experience developing and implementing compliance frameworks.
- Willingness to work flexible hours during emergencies or crises.
- Strong collaboration skills with operations and global teams.
