M365 Security Engineer – AI Focus

About the role

The M365 Security Engineer – AI Focus will join the Cyber and Data Protection team to ensure that all Microsoft 365 applications and AI‑enabled tools are secured and compliant with best‑practice standards. You will define security standards, monitor compliance, and drive AI security initiatives across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and manage security standards for M365 applications managed by other T&DS teams.
• Create, update, validate and store security standard processes.
• Develop remediation plans for M365 security findings.
• Define AI‑related security standards, with a focus on Co‑pilot.
• Contribute to Forvis Mazars AI projects from a security perspective.
• Lead internal projects introducing AI into Cyber and Data Protection activities.
• Conduct security watch on M365, AI and cybersecurity developments.
• Define, update and manage KPIs for the security perimeter.
• Support T&DS certification processes and investigate Level‑3 security incidents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field (Master’s with cybersecurity specialization preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of IT experience, including at least 2 years in cybersecurity or security management.
• Fluent English and proficiency in at least one additional language.

Required skills

• M365 application management and security (Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive).
• Microsoft Defender suite management (Defender for O365, Intune).
• Agentic AI security and management (Co‑pilot studio, AI tools such as Chat‑GPT, Claude, DeepSeek).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27000, CIS, CISA Scuba, OWASP).
• Python programming.
• PowerShell and other scripting languages.
• Azure infrastructure fundamentals.
• Security protocols and encryption (TLS, X509, ciphers, hashing, salting).
• Risk analysis capabilities.
