Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Aptiv is looking for a Maintenance Engineer in its Marakesh manufacturing site. The Maintenance Responsible manages and coordinates facilities and production equipment maintenance to ensure reliability, safety and performance, supporting projects from commissioning through handover with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and HSE teams. The role covers preventive maintenance and technical improvements across automated production equipment and injection molding machinery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate maintenance of production equipment, including injection and insert molding machines, fully automatic lines, robots and related equipment.
• Develop and implement annual and preventive maintenance plans.
• Partner with Production to schedule maintenance while supporting equipment availability and operational continuity.
• Take part in commissioning, pre-commissioning, performance testing, technical meetings, safety audits, punch-list resolution and equipment handover.
• Review technical designs, documentation and supplier bids against Operations, Maintenance, Asset Integrity and HSE requirements.
• Lead maintenance safety processes and audits, including Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Fall Protection, PPE and mobile equipment requirements.
• Coordinate contractors and external providers for installations, maintenance and facility projects such as renovation and remodeling.
• Improve production methods and equipment performance to boost efficiency and product quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Experience with fully automatic production equipment, especially stripping, crimping, assembly and testing processes.
• Experience with fully automatic machines such as Curti, Komax or Schleuniger, and with high-speed coax cable production or processes.
• Knowledge of injection molding machine maintenance is an advantage.
• Advanced English skills.
