Manager, Forensic Accounting

About the role

MDD, a leading global forensic accounting firm, is seeking a Manager to join its Boston office. The role involves leading forensic accounting engagements, analyzing complex financial data, and delivering accurate economic damage calculations for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preliminary to intermediate analysis of sales, production, and other accounting data.
• Conduct physical inventory observations and price testing.
• Examine source documents relevant to each engagement.
• Check and proof reports and schedules for accuracy.
• Interview clients or witnesses by phone or in person to gather information.
• Prepare draft report narratives and supporting schedules.
• Analyze and reconcile claims to final calculations.
• Research, analyze data, and evaluate findings.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Undertake additional research and tasks assigned by senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience with strong forensic accounting exposure.
• CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA designation.
• Willingness to travel internationally, sometimes for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Professional demeanor and positive attitude.
