Manufacturing & Process Development Engineer

About the role

As a Process Development Engineer you will join project teams for New Product Introduction (NPI) and be responsible for defining manufacturing processes, equipment and specifications for cable‑assembly products.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the definition of processes, cost optimisation and concept design for cable‑assembly tooling.
• Coordinate Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews and drive PFMEA activities with core team members.
• Configure equipment, create cost calculations and present them to management.
• Validate tool and equipment designs with suppliers, qualify them according to TE standards and run acceptance tests.
• Manage pilot runs, resolve engineering issues and ensure process capability meets quality and customer requirements.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (Bac+5) in Automation, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years experience in the cable‑assembly industry.
• Strong knowledge of cable‑assembly technologies such as cutting, crimping and welding.
• Experience developing customized machines and applying LEAN manufacturing principles.
• Proven project‑management skills and ability to work in a multicultural matrix environment.
