Mid-level Java Software Engineer – Hybrid (Portugal relocation)

About the role

KCS IT is looking for a motivated Java Software Engineer to join its consulting team. The position is mid‑level, offers a hybrid work model and includes relocation to Portugal. You will work on diverse client projects, contributing to modern, cloud‑based applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java 8+ applications using micro‑services architecture.
• Collaborate with front‑end teams, preferably using Angular, to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and ensure code quality through unit and functional testing.
• Work with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
• Deploy and manage services on cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and container orchestration tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Mid‑level professional experience with Java development.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.
