Model-Based Design Engineer (MBD)

About the role

ALTEN Delivery Center Morocco is looking for a Model‑Based Design Engineer to join its automotive engineering team. You will work on functional system models, generate embedded code and ensure compliance with automotive standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop functional system models in MATLAB/Simulink using Model‑Based Design principles and create reusable Simulink libraries.
• Automate tasks with MATLAB scripting and integrate code generation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Compile, analyze and debug C code generated from models, collaborating with integration teams.
• Perform MIL, SIL and B2B testing, and participate in technical reviews to guarantee deliverable quality.
• Review functional specifications, maintain traceability matrices and ensure requirements feasibility.
• Identify and resolve anomalies in models or embedded code, working with cross‑functional ECU teams.
• Use Git/GitHub for version control, and produce comprehensive technical documentation.

Required profile

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Embedded Systems or Systems Engineering.
• 1‑2 years of relevant experience in automotive or embedded software development.
• Very good command of English.

Required skills

• MATLAB/Simulink (including Model Advisor, Design Verifier).
• Git/GitHub for configuration management.
• CANoe/CANalyzer for CAN network simulation.
• C programming for embedded development.
• Knowledge of UDS and OBD protocols (strong asset).
• Familiarity with ISO 26262, AUTOSAR and MISRA C guidelines.
• Understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN) and system architecture.
