Open-Rank Faculty Positions in Pharmaceutical Sciences

About the role

The Faculty of Medical Sciences at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (FMS-UM6P) is expanding its academic team and its teaching, research and specialised training activities in pharmacy. It is inviting applications for open-rank faculty positions (teaching and research) in four areas: Industrial Pharmacy, Clinical and Hospital Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Sciences / Clinical Biology, and Pharmacology and Pharmacodynamics. Applicants must state clearly which profile they wish to be considered for.

Key responsibilities

• Teach lectures, tutorials and practical sessions in the pharmacy curriculum
• Develop research activities in their area of specialty
• Supervise students and early-career researchers
• Contribute to the educational and scientific development of their discipline
• Build collaborations with hospitals, laboratories, pharmaceutical companies and academic partners
• Help develop the FMS's specialised training programmes
• Contribute to the design, development and accreditation of future pharmacy specialty degrees
• Help set up clinical placement sites and their required partnerships
• Take on academic and educational coordination roles where appropriate

Required profile

• A doctorate in pharmacy (PharmD)
• A specialist qualification relevant to the applied profile, or an equivalent recognised qualification
• Relevant experience in academia, hospital practice, clinical laboratories or industry
• Aptitude for teaching and supervision at university level
• A research record appropriate to the level of the position
• Ability to help build and develop their discipline
• An advantage: experience supervising residents or interns, designing curricula, accrediting programmes, managing quality assurance or coordinating academic programmes
