About the role
The Pastry Chef de Partie will lead the pastry section of the kitchen at Conrad Rabat Arzana, delivering high‑quality desserts and pastries that enhance the guest experience. Working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef, you will ensure standards of taste, presentation, and hygiene are consistently met.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise pastry staff and coordinate daily production.
- Prepare and present high‑quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
- Maintain clean, organized workstations and prevent cross‑contamination.
- Prepare mise‑en‑place for all relevant menus.
- Assist with food cost control and contribute to gross profit targets.
- Respond promptly to guest queries and ensure satisfactory resolutions.
- Report maintenance, hygiene, and safety issues.
- Support other departments as needed and uphold hotel safety regulations.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Chef de Partie (Pastry) or strong Demi Chef de Partie background.
- Valid commercial cookery qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3) and basic food hygiene certificate.
- Proven supervisory experience with coaching and team motivation skills.
- Positive attitude, ability to work under pressure and both independently and in a team.
