Production Manager – Touring Exhibitions

About the role

You will lead the planning and execution of touring immersive exhibitions from concept through installation and dismantling. Working closely with project managers, designers, suppliers and venue partners, you will ensure each project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full production lifecycle of touring exhibitions, from pre‑production to de‑installation.
• Plan and coordinate production schedules, logistics and technical requirements across multiple countries.
• Lead production meetings, monitor timelines, identify risks and propose solutions.
• Oversee on‑site installation teams, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Support budgeting, procurement and tender processes while maintaining cost control.
• Coordinate transportation, fabrication, equipment and production logistics.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, health & safety standards and permitting requirements.
• Report progress, challenges and milestones to senior management.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of production processes.

Required profile

• 3+ years experience managing productions, exhibitions, live events or touring shows.
• Strong project‑management and organisational skills.
• Experience coordinating multiple contractors and suppliers.
• Ability to read technical drawings and production documentation.
• Experience managing budgets, procurement and vendor relationships.
• Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making in fast‑paced environments.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel extensively internationally.
