Professor in Inorganic Chemistry

About the role

Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) is seeking a Professor in Inorganic Chemistry for its Chemical & Biochemical Sciences Green Process Engineering (CBS) department. The post contributes to the department's research excellence, teaching and innovation, within a programme focused on green and environmental chemistry.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct high-impact research in inorganic chemistry, focusing on material design and characterization, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on real-world challenges.
• Secure external funding for research projects and publish results in reputable international journals.
• Design and deliver courses in inorganic and coordination chemistry at undergraduate and graduate levels, in an interactive and inclusive way.
• Mentor students in research projects and give academic guidance.
• Collaborate with colleagues and other disciplines, and with industry partners and research institutions.

Required profile

• PhD in Chemistry, specializing in inorganic chemistry or a closely related field.
• Strong research record: publications in reputable international journals, patents, active research projects and secured funding.
• Prior teaching experience and curriculum development, preferably at university level.
• Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams and with external partners.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; proficiency in French or Arabic is a plus.
