Project Director – STRIDES Morocco

About the role

The STRIDES Morocco Project Director leads the implementation of the STRIDES activity in Morocco, strengthening laboratory and surveillance capacities to prevent, detect, and respond to emerging infectious diseases and other public health threats.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate the STRIDES Morocco activity to achieve goals within timeframes and budget.
• Develop work plans, standard operating procedures, and oversee technical, financial, and operational staff.
• Serve as primary liaison with U.S. Government, Moroccan government, and global health security partners.
• Manage in‑country relationships with national, regional, and local authorities and multisectoral partners.
• Oversee subcontractors, procurement, monitoring and evaluation, and reporting activities.
• Promote a safe, equitable, harassment‑free work environment.

Required profile

• Extensive experience managing large‑scale public health or global health security projects.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage budgets.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with government and international partners.
• Experience overseeing contracts and subcontractors in low‑ and middle‑income settings.
