Project Manager – Airport & Aviation IT (must have aviation experience)

About the role

SITA is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large‑scale, mission‑critical projects across airport and airline environments. You will own the full project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business goals, regulatory requirements, and operational continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, monitor, and close complex projects from initiation to delivery.
• Lead multi‑disciplinary teams including engineering, IT, operations, vendors and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with airport authorities, airlines, government entities and regulatory bodies.
• Manage vendor contracts, negotiate terms and track performance.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks, issues and dependencies.
• Ensure compliance with aviation safety, security and regulatory standards.
• Provide executive‑level communication and governance reporting.
• Support digital transformation initiatives such as cloud, biometrics and smart‑airport solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Aviation Management or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 10‑15+ years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in airport/airline environments.
• Proven track record delivering multi‑million‑dollar, complex programs.
• Certification such as PMP or PRINCE2.
• Strong understanding of aviation regulatory and operational environments.
