Project Safety Manager (PSM) - Automotive

About the role

ALTEN, a global engineering and technology consulting firm with a delivery center in Fes, Morocco, is recruiting a Project Safety Manager (PSM) for its automotive clients. The role coordinates project activities and ensures that safety requirements are integrated throughout project execution, working with engineering, quality and safety teams.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate project activities, milestones, deliverables and action plans, and monitor progress while identifying and mitigating risks.
• Ensure alignment between project objectives, timelines and stakeholder expectations, and prepare regular status reports.
• Coordinate activities across engineering, quality, safety and other functions, and run project meetings with follow-up on decisions.
• Manage interfaces between internal teams, external partners and international stakeholders, and escalate risks and delays promptly.
• Support the coordination and monitoring of project safety activities, ensuring safety requirements are considered throughout execution.
• Follow up on safety actions, risks and deliverables, and contribute to corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and action trackers, and communicate clearly in English.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electronics or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in project management or project coordination, ideally 5 to 8 years.
• Proven experience with cross-functional teams and in an international environment.
• Previous experience in the automotive industry and exposure to project safety management or safety coordination.
• Good command of English; B2 level preferred.
