QA Engineer (Hybrid)

About the role

The QA Engineer will act as the tactical executor of quality assurance within sprint cycles and serve as the QA owner inside a product squad. You will bridge requirements with automation‑ready, sustainable test coverage while collaborating closely with developers using a Shift‑Left approach.

Key responsibilities

• Own sprint‑level QA activities, including test planning, manual and exploratory testing, and story‑level automation following company standards.
• Collaborate with developers early in the sprint to write automation, review acceptance criteria, and improve testability.
• Maintain squad regression checklists, track quality signals (coverage, pass/fail, leakage, flakiness) and contribute to dashboards.
• Lead defect triage, ensure accurate severity/priority, and coordinate root‑cause analysis with developers.
• Implement and maintain automated tests using approved frameworks and address flaky test issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3–6 years of QA experience in SaaS or similar environments.
• Hands‑on experience with test planning, functional and integration testing.
• Familiarity with SDLC, Agile, and Shift‑Left testing practices.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, able to handle multiple stories within a squad.
