Refrigeration Technician – Hotel Maintenance

About the role

The Rabat Marriott Hotel is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join its engineering team. You will be responsible for maintaining guest comfort by handling repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues with minimal supervision.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and other building equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and visual inspections.
• Identify and operate shut‑off valves, carry necessary tools, and maintain accurate inventory of parts and supplies.
• Communicate daily activities and issues to subsequent shifts using approved procedures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and engineering drawings related to MEP systems.
• Execute complex repairs on air‑conditioning units, refrigeration systems, pool heaters, pumps, motors, and electrical components.
• Apply lockout/tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Utilize preventive‑maintenance and energy‑management software for troubleshooting and reporting.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and act as Engineer on Duty when required.

Required profile

• Advanced ability to read standard blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with above‑average engineering operations skills.
• Proficiency in at least three of the following: air‑conditioning/refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls, carpentry, energy conservation, building management.
• Commitment to safety policies, including proper handling of flammable materials.
