Regional Vaccines Portfolio Leader

About the role

The Regional Vaccines Portfolio Leader will define and drive the strategic vision for the vaccines portfolio across multiple countries, working closely with the MERA Cluster President and country managers. This senior position is responsible for delivering growth, launching new products and ensuring alignment with global brand strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Set regional vision, objectives and omnichannel strategies for the therapeutic area, covering the full product lifecycle from pre‑launch to post‑launch.
• Own the regional P&L, monitor budget performance, launch uptake metrics and intervene to mitigate risks.
• Partner with the Cluster President on operating plan forecasting and secure funding for growth initiatives.
• Lead cross‑functional matrix teams to develop and execute asset‑specific strategies and rapid market uptake.
• Coordinate new product launch planning with Business Marketing Leads and ensure alignment with global strategy.
• Drive innovation projects and breakthrough initiatives across the region.
• Coach and mentor a geographically dispersed virtual team, enhancing marketing capabilities.
• Manage the regional Vaccines Launch and Operations Lead.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
• 15+ years of commercial and marketing experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
• Proven track record of operating successfully in a matrix environment.
• Strong strategic thinking with ability to develop pragmatic recommendations.
• Leadership experience in coaching and developing teams.
• Commitment to compliance, excellence and inclusive culture.
