Sales Specialist Trainee

About the role

GE Vernova is hiring a Sales Specialist Trainee accountable for the Air and Gas Insulated Substations (AIS and GIS) order intake, margin and cash for Morocco within the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. The role supports customer relationship and commercial strategy for AIS and GIS, reporting to the GIS Sales Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in early‑stage project detection and monitor the FEED stage of potential projects.
• Support senior sales team in preparing quotations, organizing tender documentation, and tracking progress.
• Help build value propositions and compile product qualification/homologation documents and techno‑commercial offers.
• Accompany senior team members to customer meetings to learn customer intimacy, relationship building, and contract clarification.
• Conduct basic market assessment tasks and competitor analysis to help define commercial action plans.
• Assist in the hand‑over process between Sales and Project Execution teams to ensure seamless project transition.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• Fresh graduate or maximum 2 years of experience in a related field.
• Strong academic record with demonstrated interest in the Energy/Power sector.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• High proficiency in English and French; Arabic native language is mandatory.
• Ability to travel when necessary within Morocco and the MEA region.
