Senior Accountant

About the role

Sentinel Earth AG is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage day‑to‑day accounting operations for the company and its international entities. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with IFRS and local regulations, and support the finance team in a collaborative, multinational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month‑end close.
• Review and validate employee expense claims, ensuring policy compliance and proper posting to the ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS and statutory standards.
• Coordinate with external auditors during year‑end audits and address audit queries.
• Calculate, file, and follow up on VAT returns and corporate income tax declarations.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA, ACCA or similar qualification is a plus.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
• Proven ability to work on‑site within an international team.

Required skills

• IFRS knowledge.
• Moroccan CGNC familiarity.
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Fixed assets management (capitalization, depreciation, disposals).
• VAT filing and corporate tax declaration preparation.
