Senior Backend Engineer (Java/Spring Boot)

About the role

Yakeey, a fast‑growing PropTech company, is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with T‑shaped skills to own a specific domain (marketplace, credit or valuation) within its micro‑services platform. You will work primarily on backend services using Java and Spring Boot while collaborating closely with front‑end, data, DevOps and AI teams to ensure architectural consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain domain‑specific micro‑services in Java/Spring Boot.
• Define and expose RESTful APIs that integrate with other platform components, following the Model Context Protocol where applicable.
• Align implementations with global architecture standards and cross‑team agreements.
• Collaborate with front‑end, data, DevOps and AI teams to manage dependencies and smooth integration.
• Participate in architectural discussions, share domain insights and adopt best practices for code quality, testing, security and observability.
• Mentor junior developers and promote knowledge sharing across teams.
• Explore emerging AI technologies (LLMs, RAG, MCP) and experiment with practical applications.

Required profile

• Several years of experience building backend systems with deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of micro‑services architecture, RESTful API design and domain‑driven design.
• Interest or experience with AI/ML concepts such as large language models, retrieval‑augmented generation and Model Context Protocol.
• Ability to work independently on a focused domain while keeping a broader platform perspective.
