Team Lead - Bancassurance Specialist

About the role

The Team Lead, Bancassurance Specialist (TL‑BAS) will lead and drive the bancassurance business for the bank. This senior position combines people leadership with sales execution to achieve growth targets while maintaining strong compliance and customer outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and drive overall bancassurance sales performance of the assigned team, ensuring achievement of individual and team KPIs.
• Set clear sales targets, monitor performance metrics, and ensure disciplined execution to meet or exceed business goals.
• Drive productivity, participation rates, and conversion ratios across the team.
• Provide hands‑on support in key client engagements and complex sales situations to maximise closure rates.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of Bancassurance Specialists, conducting regular performance reviews and implementing improvement plans.
• Mentor team members on sales skills, product knowledge and customer‑engagement strategies.
• Foster strong teamwork, accountability and a results‑driven mindset.
• Lead end‑to‑end hiring process for the BAS team, from sourcing to onboarding.
• Identify skill gaps and plan targeted training initiatives to continuously uplift team capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote a strong compliance culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading sales teams, preferably in bancassurance or related financial services.
• Strong people‑leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop and motivate staff.
• Results‑oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent understanding of compliance requirements in the banking and insurance sectors.
• Ability to manage complex client engagements and support the team in closing deals.
