Accountant and Advisory Associate

About the role

Orbiss is an advisory and tax firm specializing in business growth in the United States, founded in 2019 and supporting international small and medium-sized private companies scaling up in the US. As an Associate Accountant, you will carry out daily accounting tasks, including AP and AR processing, bank and credit card reconciliations, and help prepare month-end closing.

Key responsibilities

• Enter AP and AR invoices and post vendor payments
• Perform AP / AR reconciliation, bank reconciliation and credit card reconciliation
• Maintain accounting software integrations and post entries using imports from other software
• Post and reconcile entries from reimbursement tools
• Assist with month-end closing preparation
• Maintain client and vendor databases and files
• Analyze differences and provide recommendations, and analyze reports

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• At least 1 year of experience in an accounting firm
• Ability to respect deadlines and communicate proactively if they cannot be met
• Ability to work autonomously while remaining part of a team
• Commitment to integrity and confidentiality with sensitive information
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Proficiency in French and English and eligibility to work in Morocco
• Occasional business travel within Morocco may be required during onboarding
