Accountant – Full‑time, On‑site in Casablanca

About the role

Halo Consulting is looking for an Accountant to manage day‑to‑day financial operations at its Casablanca office. This full‑time, on‑site position will support the finance team in delivering accurate financial information and ensuring compliance with local standards.

Key responsibilities

• Record financial transactions and maintain the general ledger.
• Prepare periodic financial statements and support month‑end and year‑end closing.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank and credit accounts.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, expense tracking and cost allocation across projects and departments.
• Prepare tax‑related documentation and support audit processes.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and company policies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights, respond to information requests and contribute to process improvements.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in accounting principles, general ledger management, financial reporting and account reconciliation.
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, and solid skills in spreadsheet and data analysis tools.
• Knowledge of local tax regulations, compliance requirements and audit preparation practices.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA, ACCA or equivalent certifications are a plus.
• Integrity, discretion with confidential information and commitment to ethical financial practices.
• Fluency in English and French is highly beneficial; familiarity with regional business practices in Casablanca is a plus.
