Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to manage daily accounting operations and deliver accurate financial reporting. The role supports business growth by ensuring compliance with US GAAP or UK Accounting Principles (IFRS/UK GAAP) and providing strategic insights to management.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions, including expenses, revenue, and invoices in the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with US GAAP or UK GAAP/IFRS.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor accounts payable/receivable and ensure tax compliance.
• Compute tax payments, prepare tax returns and process payroll.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and expense monitoring to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Support internal and external audits by supplying required documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of proven experience as an Accountant.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP or UK Accounting Principles (IFRS/UK GAAP).
• CPA (US) or ACCA/ACA/CIMA (UK) preferred.
• Excellent analytical abilities, attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage or SAP.
