Advanced Procurement Buyer – Global Manufacturing

About the role

As an Advanced Procurement Buyer at TE, you will drive the sourcing of components and tools that enable new product development. You will work closely with interdisciplinary core teams, suppliers, and engineering to ensure cost‑effective, on‑time delivery while supporting TE’s mission of creating a safer, sustainable, and more connected world.

Key responsibilities

• Represent Procurement within core development teams for new products.
• Achieve Time‑to‑Market (TTM) milestones for external parts and tools.
• Manage supplier‑related BOM cost, analyse cost drivers and generate cost‑saving opportunities throughout project phases.
• Create and monitor full project quotation overviews and procurement cost BOMs.
• Initiate and track RFQs, ensuring sourcing decisions meet project timelines.
• Monitor supplier performance, tool progress and support the definition of economical manufacturing concepts.
• Facilitate technical reviews with suppliers and product engineering, analysing price trends and estimating impact of tool/part modifications.
• Identify process improvements, document lessons learned and support onboarding of new team members.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in procurement, process engineering or manufacturing.
• Fluent English at negotiation level; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build lasting supplier relationships.
• Experience working in multicultural, cross‑disciplinary teams.
• Ability to read and interpret product drawings and specifications.
