AFR Customer & Operations Specialist – Logistics

About the role

The AFR Customer & Ops Specialist supports day‑to‑day administrative tasks for air freight forwarding, ensuring smooth flow of goods and information across global supply chains. Working under close supervision, you will assist internal and external customers with operational requirements, tariff queries and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Gather operational requirements, arrange customer visits and respond to tariff queries.
• Perform routine research, data processing, validation and documentation for freight control.
• Support freight rate determination for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Create and confirm transport orders, perform bookings and optimise booking processes.
• Prepare, review and distribute import and export documentation.
• Identify supplier performance issues and propose efficiency improvements.
• Update customs shipment information, resolve incidents and maintain accurate records.

Required profile

• Vocational or specialised technical education or certification.
• Less than 2 years of relevant experience in logistics or freight forwarding.
• Ability to follow defined processes, systems and methodologies.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to escalate routine issues when needed.
