Aircraft Mechanic (AH-64) – Level 2

About the role

The AH-64 Aircraft Mechanic AM-2 is responsible for performing maintenance, inspections, and repairs on AH-64 helicopter systems in accordance with FAA and military standards. The role involves working on a wide range of aircraft components, from fuel and hydraulic systems to flight‑control assemblies, while ensuring safety and quality throughout the process.

Key responsibilities

• Execute full‑range tactical aircraft maintenance, including assembly, modification, and alignment of major and sub‑assemblies.
• Install, connect, and adjust systems such as fuel, heat, lubrication, hydraulic, engine, and transmission.
• Perform operational checks, troubleshoot malfunctions, and replace defective components.
• Direct lower‑graded mechanics and coordinate with other trades to ensure proper assembly sequence.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance forms, records, and documentation.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; five (5)+ years of aviation maintenance experience on the AH‑64, preferably within the last five years.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain NAC‑I T1 Public Trust clearance; valid passport for deployment to Morocco.
• Ability to meet medical/vaccination requirements and pass a respirator fit test.
• Physical capability to lift ≥50 lb, work on ladders, and operate power tools and ground support equipment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand tools, gauges, torque wrenches, scales, and diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, fuel, electrical, electronic, and mechanical aircraft systems.
• Ability to read, apply, and interpret technical data, manuals, and schematics.
• Understanding of quality‑control, production, and supply‑chain procedures for aircraft maintenance.
