APU Quality Engineer

About the role

The APU Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring product quality and process compliance within the APU manufacturing line. This role involves initiating QRQC actions, supporting managers in issue analysis, and representing the customer on quality matters.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate QRQC in the QIM database, contain issues, and validate containment robustness.
• Support APU and Site Managers in analyzing QRQC-assigned issues.
• Update APU quality tracking charts, including Customer Returns and Cost of Non‑Quality.
• Perform line audits to detect non‑conformities and drive corrective actions.
• Participate in eradication of customer and non‑quality issues.
• Ensure QRQC meeting rules such as “Stop at first disagree” are applied.
• Revise control plans after issues and verify 4M matrix compliance for product or process changes.
• Update quality documents following process changes.
• Verify continuous process conformance to specifications via machine capability and yearly product audits.
• Authority to stop manufacturing/assembly lines when standards, safety, or quality risks are identified.
• Represent the customer within Valeo on quality escalations.
• Manage PD, CA, and closure for internal supplier incidents.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with ability to investigate and resolve quality issues.
• Experience in automotive or industrial manufacturing environments.
• Ability to work autonomously and make decisive safety‑related decisions.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with customers and internal teams.
