Area Sales Manager, North & Francophone Africa

About the role

Valmet is seeking an ambitious, customer‑oriented sales professional to drive profitable growth across Morocco and the wider North & Francophone Africa region. This home‑based position in Morocco involves regular customer visits and regional travel, representing Valmet’s Flow Control portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales growth and develop business opportunities across Morocco, Tunisia, Libya, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire and other selected markets.
• Build and strengthen relationships with industrial end users, EPC contractors, engineering companies, distributors and other key stakeholders.
• Promote Valmet’s Flow Control portfolio, including valves, actuators, controllers and related services.
• Identify, develop and convert project opportunities, prepare commercial proposals, negotiate contracts and secure profitable agreements.
• Develop aftermarket and lifecycle business opportunities to maximize customer value.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven sales experience in valves, actuators, instrumentation or related engineered equipment for process industries.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or another relevant technical discipline.
• Established business network and market knowledge in Morocco; exposure to additional African markets is a plus.
• Experience in process industries such as phosphates, fertilizers, chemicals, mining, energy, oil & gas, power or water.
• Fluent communication skills in Arabic, French and English.
• Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work independently in a global matrix organization.
