Artificial Intelligence Engineer

About the role

Smartly.ai is looking for an Artificial Intelligence Engineer to join our fast‑growing technical team in Casablanca. You will work on cutting‑edge conversational AI solutions, including call‑bots, voice‑bots and large‑language‑model (LLM) powered agents that serve enterprise customers at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and fine‑tune LLMs for natural language understanding and generation.
• Implement Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and integrate Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) components.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate conversational UX requirements into robust AI models.
• Deploy and monitor AI services in production, ensuring reliability and performance.
• Continuously improve model accuracy and efficiency based on real‑world user feedback.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (Bac+5) or equivalent Master’s in Computer Science, AI, or related field.
• Strong technical rigor with a bias for shipping production‑ready systems rather than prototypes.
• Fluent in both French and English.

Required skills

• Experience with LLMs, fine‑tuning, and RAG techniques.
• Knowledge of Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) technologies.
• Proficiency in Python.
