Assistant Professor of Satellite System Integration and Testing

About the role

The Morocco Aerospace Research Institute (MARI-SPACE) at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University seeks an Assistant Professor to lead satellite system integration and testing activities, with a focus on CubeSat missions. The role combines research, hands‑on laboratory work, and teaching in system engineering, space environment simulation, and clean‑room practices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead system‑level integration of CubeSat platforms, defining and executing test campaigns.
• Develop and manage thermal‑vacuum, vibration, and other qualification test protocols.
• Design and operate space environment simulation facilities.
• Teach courses on environmental qualification, clean‑room procedures, and spacecraft systems engineering.
• Supervise graduate and undergraduate projects and collaborate with interdisciplinary research teams.

Required profile

• PhD in Aerospace, Physics, Systems, Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Proven experience in CubeSat assembly and qualification testing (thermal‑vacuum, vibration).
• Familiarity with space qualification standards such as ECSS and NASA GEVS.
• Demonstrated ability to lead hands‑on interdisciplinary projects.
