Assistant Professor – Space Propulsion & Micro-Propulsion

About the role

The Morocco Aerospace Research Institute (MARI-SPACE) seeks an Assistant Professor to lead experimental research on propulsion systems for small satellites and to teach propulsion theory and laboratory courses. The position combines cutting‑edge research with undergraduate and graduate teaching, contributing to CubeSat mission development.

Key responsibilities

• Design and conduct experimental studies on chemical, electric and green micro‑propulsion systems in vacuum environments.
• Teach propulsion theory and hands‑on laboratory modules for aerospace engineering students.
• Mentor graduate and undergraduate students in research projects.
• Develop and integrate propulsion solutions for CubeSat missions.
• Publish research findings in peer‑reviewed journals and present at conferences.
• Collaborate with MARI-SPACE, UM6P and international partners on aerospace projects.

Required profile

• PhD in Aerospace, Physics or Mechanical Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience testing propulsion systems in vacuum chambers.
• Hands‑on involvement in CubeSat or small‑satellite propulsion projects.
• Strong record of scientific publications.
• Experience supervising and mentoring students.

Required skills
