Associate Data Science Manager

About the role

Leyton CognitX is seeking an Associate Data Science Manager to lead the design, development, and implementation of data products that drive business transformation. The role combines strategic advisory, change management, and hands‑on technical leadership to accelerate AI‑enabled solutions for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and evolve data domains and products required to support company needs.
• Collaborate with product management to create roadmaps and increase engineering velocity.
• Ensure team cohesion, motivation, and agile SCRUM practices.
• Design, develop, and implement processes to consolidate and analyze structured and unstructured data sets.
• Oversee daily operational activities, allocate resources, and manage tactical plans.
• Set SMART objectives for the team and monitor achievement.
• Define clear career paths and provide mentorship.
• Identify process deficiencies and lead implementation of effective solutions.
• Deliver work products consistently, on time, and within budget.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Engineering, IT Project Management or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Minimum 2‑3 years of project management experience.
• Fluent in English and French.
