Associate, SEO

About the role

WPP Media is looking for an Associate, SEO to join its growing Organic Search team within the Organic Performance team. The team helps clients improve performance and user experience across digital assets through organic (non-paid) channels such as organic search, content optimization and integrated search.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the SEO strategy by understanding the client's products, competition, industry landscape, goals and objectives
• Manage the workflow of organic search tasks, keeping track of client roadmaps and requirements, and deliver on deadlines while multitasking
• Attend client and agency meetings to present deliverables, strategies, results and tactics
• Monitor and evaluate SEO performance against client KPIs (traffic, rankings, conversions, technical SEO score)
• Analyze competitor sites and perform keyword research, grouping keywords by theme and prioritizing by volume, intent and relevance
• Perform gap analysis and research on the niche, trending topics and competitors to propose content ideas
• Optimize on-page elements such as metadata, heading tags, URLs and alt attributes
• Run technical audits (crawling, indexing, duplication, structured data, core web vitals) and analyse regular crawls to assess site health
• Work with the Organic Performance team, the Paid Search team, client teams and third-party developers, and stay current with industry trends and Google's algorithm changes

Required profile

• 1 year of SEO experience in a digital media agency or in-house
• Basic knowledge of HTML
• Understanding of paid media (PPC, social, display) is desirable but not essential
• Attention to detail, autonomy and ability to meet deadlines
• Adaptability to changing priorities and willingness to follow Google's algorithm updates

• Exposure to GEO and AI search optimization
