About the role
The Body Development Division role involves supporting automotive body development projects using BMW Access, CATIA, and other engineering tools. You will work on packaging studies, plastic part design, sheet‑metal retainers, and coordinate with suppliers for approvals.
Key responsibilities
- Perform BMW Access (QX number) tasks and request test parts at the RP Center.
- Conduct CATIA packaging studies and design plastic parts, including part ejection and separation.
- Develop simple sheet‑metal retainers and create milled, forged, and die‑cast components.
- Maintain package documentation and generate installation space models for suppliers.
Required profile
- Create BMW‑compliant drawings covering alignment concepts, measurement plans, and visibility areas.
- Use Prisma to write part histories and generate technical documents.
- Operate JIRA for task tracking and coordinate supplier approvals.
- Demonstrate English proficiency at C1 level (minimum B2) and optional German proficiency (B2 preferred).
