Business Controller

About the role

EssilorLuxottica is seeking a Business Controller to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and insightfulness of financial data across the organization. You will lead the monthly closing process, drive forecasts, and provide performance analysis to support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial forecasts and annual budgets based on historical performance, market dynamics, and operational inputs.
• Lead, review, and approve the monthly financial closing, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Develop, monitor, and update operational budgets and rolling forecasts aligned with business priorities.
• Prepare and present detailed operational and financial reports with analysis and strategic recommendations.
• Communicate financial information clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
• Analyze business performance versus targets, highlighting trends, variances, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide ad‑hoc analyses, scenario modeling, and financial support.
• Forecast and manage cash flows and working capital to optimize liquidity.
• Support internal and external audit processes and coordinate required documentation.
• Identify and implement continuous‑improvement initiatives for financial processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial controlling, FP&A, or related finance functions.
• Strong understanding of monthly closing, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and present clear insights.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with stakeholders at all levels.
• Detail‑oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
