Butler Manager

About the role

The Butler Manager leads the delivery of premium butler services for guests in a luxury hospitality setting, such as a high‑end hotel, resort or cruise line. This role ensures that every guest request is handled promptly and that the in‑suite experience meets the brand’s exacting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the Butler Team to guarantee exceptional, personalized service for all guests.
• Ensure timely fulfillment of guest orders, requests and enquiries.
• Conduct embarkation inspections of VIP suites and supervise in‑suite arrival procedures.
• Lead, coach, train and develop team members to consistently achieve superior performance.
• Mentor the Senior Butler to prepare for future managerial responsibilities.
• Monitor and meet brand‑defined performance targets and key performance indicators.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of Butler or guest‑facing experience in a luxury hotel, resort or cruise line environment.
• Professional Butler or luxury service certification (e.g., International Butler Academy) is advantageous.
• Previous shipboard experience is highly preferred.
• Fluent English (verbal and written) with excellent communication skills.
• Additional language abilities (French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Mandarin, Arabic, Japanese) are an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities to manage a culturally diverse workforce.

Required skills

• Professional Butler certification (e.g., International Butler Academy) – if obtained.
