Buyer – Procurement for Production & Cutting Departments

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Buyer to supply the Production and Cutting & Preparation departments with the raw materials they need, ensuring the best quality‑price balance and maintaining a reliable supplier portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily the component database for all Versigent factories and identify new material needs.
• Send RFQ emails to suppliers, providing reference, annual volume and start dates.
• Create vendor numbers (VN) and purchase information (PI) in SAP for new suppliers.
• Negotiate delivery schedules in line with factory requirements.
• Update supplier data and generate framework contracts (SAs) where applicable.
• Generate open orders in SAP to enable logistics to place delivery requests via EDI.
• Process purchases for prototype components and after‑sales services using the PR/PO workflow.
• Conduct meetings with problematic suppliers to guarantee material supply according to project timelines.
• Support suppliers in case of delivery delays, payment issues or communication problems.
• Place orders for references without existing framework contracts.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement or purchasing within an industrial environment.
• Familiarity with supplier management and negotiation.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and meet project deadlines.

Required skills

• SAP (vendor and purchase order management)
• Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) for order processing
