C++ Software Developer

About the role

Bertrandt is seeking a talented C++ Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain high‑quality software solutions for its engineering projects across automotive, aerospace, defense and mechanical engineering domains.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain C++ applications following modern C++ standards.
• Analyse requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code and perform unit, integration and system testing.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions and collaborate with architects, testers and system engineers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, optimise performance and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for the developed components.

Required profile

• Strong experience with modern C++ (C++11/14/17/20) and object‑oriented programming.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns and SOLID principles.
• Proficiency in multithreading, concurrency and the Standard Template Library.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., Google Test, CppUnit) and test automation.
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and build systems (CMake).
• Ability to work in Linux development environments and use CI tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps.
