C# Software Engineer - Protobuf & gRPC

About the role

A growing company is looking for an experienced C# software engineer with strong hands-on experience in Protobuf and gRPC to join its technical team and help build robust, high-performance software solutions. Protobuf and gRPC expertise is a key requirement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-performance application components and backend services in C#
• Design, implement and maintain service-to-service communication using gRPC and Protocol Buffers
• Define and manage Protobuf service contracts and message schemas
• Implement business logic and backend services according to technical specifications
• Design, develop and run unit and integration tests
• Take part in code reviews, technical design discussions and system integration
• Investigate and fix software defects and performance issues
• Maintain technical documentation and improve software quality
• Collaborate with Cloud, Front-End and Test Automation teams

Required profile

• At least 5 years of professional software development experience
• Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Proven practical experience implementing Protobuf and gRPC
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary technical teams

Required skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Protobuf and gRPC, including service definitions, message schemas and inter-service communication
• C# and object-oriented programming
• SOLID principles and software development best practices
• SQL databases, Git and Azure DevOps
• Unit testing frameworks, integration testing and CI/CD
