CAD Designer – Mechanical Parts

About the role

ALTEN MAROC is seeking a CAD Designer to create and develop 3D models for mechanical parts made of sheet metal, plastic, or cast materials. The role involves both the creation phase and the development phase, ensuring designs meet ISO dimensioning standards and industry‑specific rules.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop 3D models and 2D drawings for mechanical components, complying with ISO and sector standards.
• Perform tolerance stack‑up calculations to verify assembly and clearance gaps.
• Monitor workload while adhering to quality processes and deadlines.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams during zone meetings and HH reviews to deliver robust technical solutions.
• Conduct feasibility studies through to Release Order (RO) phase and release documentation in PLM tools such as 3DCOM.
• Analyze supplier feedback (2D and 3D) to ensure compliance with technical specifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Engineering degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• 1‑3 years of experience designing interior and exterior equipment parts, especially plastic components.
• Good knowledge of the automotive industry and its parts.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CATIA (3D and 2D), Siemens NX, and related design software.
• Experience with PLM tools (3DCOM, Enovia) and systems such as TCAE, Unigraphics, Teamcenter.
• Understanding of injection‑molding design criteria (draft angles, parting lines, undercuts).
• Knowledge of ASME dimensioning system and feasibility study methods.
