Cashier – Full-time position in Rabat

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Cashier to join the finance team at the Rabat Marriott Hotel. The role involves handling cash, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting audit processes in a fast‑paced hospitality environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the property’s banking partners and ensure compliance with all standard operating procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Verify figures, postings, and documents for accuracy and proper coding.
• Organize, secure, and maintain files, records, cash, and cash equivalents according to policies.
• Record, store, and analyze computerized financial information using journals and ledgers.
• Complete period‑end closing procedures and prepare related reports.
• Audit cashier banks periodically and manage petty cash, cashier banks, and contracts.
• Document and act on cash variances, and act as liaison with armored‑car services or banking institutions.
• Participate in internal, external, and regulatory audit processes to ensure SOP compliance.
• Follow company policies, maintain confidentiality, and provide professional guest service.
• Maintain uniform and personal appearance standards.
• Communicate clearly with coworkers and guests.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of related cash handling or accounting experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.
