About the role

The Agency National des Ports is seeking a senior leader to head the Department of Captains, Safety, Security and Environment for the Port of Tangier and its region. This internal appointment will report directly to the Director General and will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of maritime activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Capitainerie, safety, security and environmental functions of the Port of Tangier.
• Ensure compliance with national and international maritime regulations.
• Oversee staff performance, training and development within the department.
• Develop and implement action plans related to the department’s core responsibilities.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators and safety metrics.

Required profile

• Officer of the Merchant Marine (ISEM graduate) holding a Long‑Course Captain’s license or equivalent.
• Minimum eight (8) years of seniority at the Agency Nationale des Ports.
• Current Division Chief with at least five (5) years in a responsibility‑bearing position.
• Average performance rating of at least 94 over the past three years.
