Clinical Psychologist (Morocco)

About the role

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is recruiting a Clinical Psychologist for its international pool of professionals, with possible deployment to field projects in Morocco. The position is full-time, on a fixed-term contract for each assignment, and requires international mobility and a minimum availability of 6 to 9 months. It is open to Moroccans and residents of Morocco seeking international experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide psychological support to patients according to MSF principles, standards and procedures, including assessing mental health needs, making diagnoses and treatment plans, explaining conditions and medication, and referring patients to other health professionals when needed.
• Implement the Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) protocol, identify potential survivors and refer them to the medical team.
• Deliver individual, family and group psychotherapy sessions according to MSF protocols.
• Train and support staff and community resource persons, and work with translators to ensure accurate communication during sessions.
• Collect and report statistical and monitoring data on mental health activities, inform the supervisor and medical team of treatment issues, and keep all patient information strictly confidential.

Required profile

• A recognized degree in Psychology.
• 3 to 4 years of professional experience as a Clinical Psychologist.
• Fluency in Arabic, French and English.
• Willingness and ability to work internationally and adapt to humanitarian contexts and challenges.
• Ability to work with limited resources and in challenging conditions.
• Desirable: previous experience with MSF or other NGOs in developing countries.
