Cloud Computing and Virtualization Engineer (Remote)

About the role

AFRICASHORE is seeking a Cloud Computing and Virtualization Engineer to join its remote team. The candidate will design, implement and maintain cloud solutions for a variety of clients across Africa and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse client requirements and propose industry‑level cloud architectures.
• Design and develop secure, scalable and high‑availability cloud and network solutions.
• Provide technical support for cloud deployment, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Implement cost‑analysis and optimisation strategies for cloud infrastructure.
• Develop disaster‑recovery and high‑availability strategies on AWS and Azure platforms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cloud Computing or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience supporting IT solutions.
• Strong knowledge of desktop and server operating systems, including Active Directory and Group Policies.
• Fundamental understanding of networking technologies.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
