Commercial Engineer

About the role

As a Commercial Engineer you will manage the financial and commercial performance of rail transportation projects, ensuring robust cost control, accurate forecasting and strict contract compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Cost estimation, pricing, and financial analysis during project execution, ensuring alignment with baseline and contracts.
• Preparation of detailed cost calculations for variation orders, claims, and financial decision‑making.
• Preparation and validation of Bill of Quantities (BOQs) in coordination with technical teams.
• Analysis of procurement costs and evaluation of supplier offers for competitiveness.
• Support to tender preparation, including pricing strategy and risk assessment.
• Continuous monitoring of project costs, deviations, and financial performance with the CPM.
• Coordination with customers for invoicing activities, ensuring contractual milestones are met.
• Preparation, validation and follow‑up of invoices to support project cash flow.

Required profile

• 3–8 years of experience in estimation or project controlling.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 4–5 years in Business, Management or Commercial Engineering.
• Fluent in English, French and Arabic.
• Experience in bids or large infrastructure projects preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and calculation tools mastery.
• Cost modeling expertise.
• Bill of Quantities (BOQ) preparation and validation.
