Commercial Operations Manager

About the role

The Commercial Operations Manager will lead contract negotiation, risk assessment, and compliance throughout the Inquiry‑to‑Order (ITO) phase. This role ensures rigorous deal making, aligns commercial activities with Grid Solutions risk policies, and drives operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Review and redline customer terms, conditions, and other commercial documents.
• Maintain an acceptable risk profile for GE by identifying, registering, and mitigating risks using the Risk Assessment Matrix and Salesforce.
• Lead contractual schemes and industrial models, coordinating with Tax, Legal, Finance, Controllers, Operations, and EHS teams.
• Own the Commercial Operations (ComOps) risk process, ensuring consistent ITO operations and adherence to policies, processes, and metrics.
• Draft, discuss, and negotiate NDAs, consortium agreements, and declaration forms with partners.
• Develop commercial expertise across regional sales teams and enforce Grid risk policies and best practices.
• Support ITO teams with KPIs, risk/opportunity assessments, and mitigation strategies based on trend analysis and post‑mortems.
• Partner with regional sales to create winning proposals, meet order targets, and achieve financial KPIs.
• Drive change‑management initiatives to reduce cycle times, lower costs, and improve service quality.
• Assist project teams with terms and conditions review from inquiry to bid award.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Legal, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Commercial Operations, Contract Management, Sales, Risk Mitigation, Tendering, Bid Management, or Project Management.
• Strong contractual and negotiation abilities.
• Fluent in English, French, and Arabic.
