About the role

EXPLEO Group is seeking a motivated Accountant to join its finance team in Tangier. The role focuses on maintaining both general and analytical accounting records while supporting month‑end and year‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily general and analytical ledger entries.
• Verify, post and reconcile supplier and customer accounts.
• Control and record bank transactions.
• Integrate payroll entries and perform account matching.
• Track expense reports and advances.
• Prepare and post various closing entries.
• Gather data required for tax calculations (VAT, corporate tax, etc.).
• Prepare monthly and annual financial closures and produce statutory accounting books.
• Support group reporting using the international chart of accounts.
• Participate in the implementation and improvement of accounting procedures, ensuring compliance.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in a similar accounting position.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
• Fluent in French and English.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Sage.
• Familiarity with IFRS standards (a plus).
